Tab Panes look different in IE6 & 7

Postby ai18ma » Tue Mar 30, 2010 1:25 pm

Good Day,

First off, thank you for a very useful script. It looks good and works fine in IE6.

However, when I tried it in IE7 I was in for a surprise! (It shouldn't really have been surprising, it is Microsoft!) Here's the situation:
I have more than 10 tabs. In IE6 no problem, the panes just wrap around and push the tab content down, sort of like this:

--------- --------
| tab1 | | tab2 | and so on
--------- ---------
----------- -----------
| tab10 | | tab11 |
----------- -----------
___________________________( border of the area defined in initTabs)
| Content of tab1
|
| (area defined in initTabs)
|___________________________|

However, in IE7 "tab10" and "tab11" wrap under the border and covers the text Contents of tab1, sort of like this:
--------- --------
| tab1 | | tab2 |
___________________________( border of the area defined in initTabs)
| C| tab10 | | tab11|
| ----------- ----------
| (area defined in initTabs)
|__________________________|

Questions:
* What's causing this?
* Is there a workaround? (other than inquiring the IE version and pushing the text down if IE7.)

Thanks and have a good day.
